Dean Alborough

Biography

Dean is based in our Sydney office and leads the Sustainable Finance practice for Australia and New Zealand. He brings more than 18 years of experience in sustainable finance, spanning consulting roles and leading sustainability at a large private alternative investment manager.

His expertise covers sustainability and governance within companies and across multiple layers of the financial system, including sustainability integration, resilient and sustainable supply chains, impact, value creation, screening, due diligence, risk assessment, and environmental and social management systems across a wide range of sectors. He has led sustainability workstreams from early screening through due diligence to financial close, including negotiating legal agreements and conducting or overseeing external due diligence. Dean has been the chairperson and member for various sustainability subcommittees and a director on various boards.
