Matt Thomas

Biography

Matt is the Senior Sector Leader for the Built Environment in Europe. He is based in Cardiff and has almost 25 years’ experience in large-scale development projects and masterplans across the UK. He has an MSc in City Design from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Matt is also a panel member of the Design Commission for Wales.

He enjoys the challenge of working with local highway authorities and key stakeholders to find common ground and solutions for mitigating impacts of development and is regularly involved in high profile projects for a variety of national clients. Matt also provides expert evidence at Public Inquiries and Examinations in Public.

Outside of work, he is a keen golfer and a devout Swansea City fan to the frustration of his colleagues in Cardiff.
