Shashi wastewater treatment plant performance improvements

Client Name
Reckitt Benckiser
Location
Shashi, China

Challenge

The Environmental Regulator halted all production at the client’s facility in Shashi due to the performance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP). This shutdown resulted in significant production losses over the month of lost production.

The WTP had a series of physical, processing and management issues that were preventing it from performing to the regulator’s requirements.

Solution

SLR’s Industrial Wastewater experts within their Process Engineering Group provided on-site technical assistance, so the WTP could meet the regulatory requirements. After three weeks production had restarted, and after three months and further support, the WTP was operating in an ideal fashion.

Impact

By promptly aiding the facility to restart production, SLR staff directly prevented further significant commercial losses from the client.
